L. Eileen Roper

	L. Eileen Roper, 67, of Centralia, passed away at 10:59 a.m. Saturday, June 1, 2002 at Barnes Jewish Hospital in St. Louis, Mo.
	Mrs. Roper had been a housewife and homemaker.  She was a member of Gilead United Methodist Church and the VFW Auxiliary.
	She was born October 16, 1934 and raised by Homer and Laverne Mathis.  She married Archie Dean Roper on October 5, 1956 in Mt. Vernon and he survives.
	Mrs. Roper had lived in Centralia all her life.
	In addition to her husband, Mrs. Roper is survived by three daughters, Ruth Ann Weisel and husband Randy of Centralia, Donna Queen and Friend Dale Heustis of Centralia and Betty Knapp and husband Eric of Tamaroa; two brothers, Homer Mathis and wife Evelyn of Centralia, Jack Mathis of Centralia and Larry Mathis and wife Marty of Florida; several brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law and five grandchildren, Laura & Joey Weisel, Kristen Queen and Heather and Andrew Knapp.
	She was preceded in death by her parents and an infant daughter, Sharon Roper.
	Funeral services were Wednesday, June 5 at 11 a.m. At Gilead United Methodist Church with Harold Quick officiating.  Interment was in Gilead Cemetery.
	Friends called at Irvin Funeral Home in Centralia Tuesday evening from 6 until 8 p.m. and after 9 a.m. on Wednesday at the church.
	Memorials may be made to Gilead Cemetery Association.
